Bitumen

Bitumen Penetration Grade 80/100 is a standard penetration grade Bitumen usually used as a Paving Grade Bitumen suitable for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties. This grade of Bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses.

The difference between 80/100 and 60/70 penetration grade is the penetration range. Bitumen 60/70 has lower penetration which means it is harder than bitumen 80/100. To the contrary of bitumen 80/100, Bitumen 60/70 is suitable to be used in hot climates and it shows more durability exposing to heavy traffic loads.May 15, 2021
